We don't celebrate Halloween where I live. Everytime I say it something dies inside me.
I like pumpkins. Both visually and tastelly (?!) My grandfather has a pumpkin plant in his garden. The pumpkins he grows are HUGE! They are more enlongated than the classic round ones we see often for Halloween. ..Or rather other people see - not me - only other people. I usually cut the one he gives me in batches and freeze them. Maybe the next one I get, before cutting it up, I'll try carving it just for fun! Although I know I'm not gonna keep it for long - it would be such a waste of good food.
